I have had a distaste for ford dealerships for a long time now however, I decided to give ford another shot and it was a huge let down. I purchased a 2013 Jaguar XFR from them they valued their vehicle at "Clean retail" for 27k approximately. The rims had curb rash and a receipt for fixing one rim so 4 rims, 3 had curb rash or obvious damage. After, purchasing I noticed micro chips in the windshield and upon closer inspection, two cracks hidden behind the rear view mirror, and beneath the windshield wiper. Being inside the vehicle it is near impossible to see and on the exterior it's even harder unless you are squinting and looking for it. I messaged the individual that sold me the vehicle on the 5th business day I had the vehicle to not include the initial day of purchase considering I received it on a Saturday. Approximately, 900 dollars later brand new windshield. Next, reviewed car fax again to see what maintenance has already been taken care of, ford took care of one air filter although it has two. The one that was replaced had obvious damage from securing inside the intake which parts of rubber were ripped from being pinched and appeared to almost have went up into the intake. I replaced both air filters as the second one not replaced needed it as well. 100 dollars later, I checked the cabin air filter, which was manufactured in 2018, car had approximately 50 to 60k miles during that year time frame. It currently has 76k, replaced the cabin air filter for 15 dollars, air quality was much better. While I was working on the air filters I noticed the air intake itself was missing two pieces to make it a fully functional air intake as designed from the dealer. After, much searching I purchased two used parts to connect the front part of the air intake to the actual intake. Air comes in blows into motor rather than air intake itself, approximately 200 dollars later. Within 25 days, I noticed my parking sensors, rear camera and other various electrical things would intermittently not be functional. I then received a check engine light, U0447 which forums and other mechanics stated most likely it would be a bad battery. Battery was an OEM jaguar battery, registered at max charge of 74%, replaced with an autozone battery at 220 dollars, now my sensors and car functions perfectly so far. I know this is a lot to read but I am not done, I decided to take Fords recommendation to United Wheel where they fixed the rim initially, within 24 hours of my appointment, one rim had a bend and another a Crack on the inside, after fixing all it was approximately 1295, minus 598 for repainting the calipers while I was there. All I can say is that ford has let me down yet again, quickly selling the vehicle rather than a vehicle they made sure was good to go. Quality of their workmanship from their mechanics and inspection team has proven yet again to be quite a disappointment.
